Howdy, long time no write. I have been taking a little break from writing and getting situated with work. BUT!! I did get a roll of film back so I had to share.

I tried out a new type of film, and it really did not go the way I wanted it to ): Nothing says sad karli like when she doesn’t like her roll of film. Which is pretty dramatic, I just like when literally every film pic is a banger, and the lighting and clarity is off in many of these. thats okay.

Camp Rave

Nothing like escaping the city for a night and finding yourself at a festival like rave thing! A friend of a friend rented this lovely spot that hosted a minimum of 40 people. I had a blast but certainly did not sleep well. Many of these turned out well, and the subject matter in all of them is awesome. But the lighting is a little off in some.

Cal Academy of sciences: Night life

The Cal Academy of Sciences has such a fun night life event and I wanted to try to take pictures… BUT taking pictures indoors is hard and the lightings off and most of these are blurry. That being said, I think they are still fun because the subject matter is so fun!!

oopsies!

A lot of oopsies this week! I am upset with how the lighting and colors turned out in a lot of these - many are too dark with muted colors. Many are blurry (cause I tried shooting indooors and you have to hold the camera still for way longer). I think I may have had the wrong settings and I dont like that.

Hope you enjoyed yet another film friday. For me, I was quite disappointed when I got back this roll of film. There are still beautiful shots, its just not PERFECT! which is upsetting to me because I take such pride in my film photos. That being said, the memories and love these photos contain still warm my heart. A good reminder that life is very rarely perfect, and the imperfect is still just as lovely.
